F+O

It was a beautiful day in December of last year when I was fortunate enough to spend the day with F and O for their Nikah ceremony. F and I have been friends for a few years, and it is always such a wonderful experience when my friends ask me to cover their special day. I was lucky to be guided throughout the entire day by a close friend of F’s for the events, as it was my first Nikah ceremony, and some aspects differ from Western weddings. This is also something I love about covering weddings: the opportunity to discover different cultures and traditions. 

We started at a mosque in North Vancouver before the party moved over to Stanley Park. The weather was gorgeous, and so were the families of F and O.
